I don’t agree with a couple of these, but this is an article I’ll want to reference in the future: How to be creative (long version).

Apple bumps Google?
Apparently, Apple bumped Google out of the #1 slot in the Wired 40. I like Apple (I’m writing this on a iMac), but I never imagined they’d bump Google as the tech leader. What’s the reasoning behind this? Is Steve Jobs and the gang really that on top of their game or do we have some Apple lovers at Wired.com?

Handspring Treo 300
Filed Under Education and Love for Learning, Technology
I just got a PDA phone off eBay for $99.95 and I’m loving it. It’s going to allow me to post and access content from anywhere. I love the fact I can get such great technology for a great deal because I went with older technology that gives me everything I need: a phone, a PDA, and an Internet browser. I just wish I could have got the treo 180 because it has a b&w screen that is good to my eyes. However, it’s not supported by Sprint.

Home Teaching Study
Filed Under Home, Family and Church
Kent Burgraff, Sean Gill, Luke Ray and I have been studying ways to increase the number of families we visit home teaching. We brainstormed last Tuesday about it and Kent read a book called “Home Teaching with Purpose and Power” by Richard J. Marshall. I asked Kent if I could borrow the book and read it this week. It’s fantastic. I’m recording important references and stories here for quick access:
President Ezra Taft Benson’s Talk
“There is no greater Church calling than that of a home teacher. There is no greater Church service rendered to our Father in Heaven???s children than the service rendered by a humble, dedicated, committed home teacher.”

LDS General Conference Scripture Citation Index offers cross referencing to General Conference talks that cite specific scriptures. Seems like a great study resource.

Mormon Temples
Filed Under Home, Family and Church
I’ve learned that there will be a Mormon Temple near my home town in Idaho. It will be in Twin Falls Idaho. I never thought I’d see the day one was built so close to my home town. Yes, I’m Mormon (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). For more information on Mormon Temples, you can visit About.com.

Hacking Google Maps
I have no idea how this was done, but it is incredible. Someone has hacked Google Maps and made it so you can view housing for rent and sale.
