Remember that Texas was losing HeritageQuest and a Medical database? Interestingly, the patrons and librarians raised the money to save access to HeritageQuest. This teaches me that if the government takes their hands out of things, people will find a way to pay what is important to them. It also shows me that there is more demand for genealogy records than medical records. Finally, libraries aren’t a bad way to go to diseminate information and fund it.
